Depending on the ages of the interested families, we will form either a U14 or a U16 Team. In the form, please only tick the box for the team your child qualifies for based on their birth year. NSBA is very strict about its regulations regarding this and will not accept overaged players.

According to NSBA, you're welcome to play for multiple teams as long as your child plays in a different division. Once we receive the competition schedules, we’ll work through any possible overlap together and manage clashes if they come up.

Once our team nomination is approved, I’ll set up a WhatsApp group for all families. This will be important for any time-sensitive updates that may come up during the season. For now, I’d like to keep messages to a minimum so you’re not getting unnecessary notifications on your phone until everything is confirmed.

As you know, one of the biggest challenges is finding a suitable court in the area with a schedule that works well for the team. I’ve been reaching out to local venues and, once I have a clearer picture of availability, I’ll let you know as soon as possible whether training will be offered as weekly sessions or in a pre-season and mid-season format.

If we secure weekly training, it will be a 1-hour session each week across the 17-week competition season. If not, training would instead be delivered through a pre-season and mid-season format during the Winter and Spring school holidays, made up of multiple 2-hour sessions. The total training time would still equal 17 hours overall.

I'm still waiting on Shore's weekday availability, but currently, our options are Shore School (late on Saturdays) and Green Square (mid day), or pre and mid-season training (Shore School or NSBA). Please let me know on the form if these work for you (or not) so I can coordinate.

Below is the size chart for our RISE uniforms. The form will ask you for your child's Jersey Name & Number. This will help us get everything ready to go as soon as we receive confirmation from NSBA.

Once I hear from NSBA that our nomination has been successful (expected around June 15), I’ll send through payment information. When you’ve processed payment to RISE this will secure their place in the team, and I’ll send the uniforms to production. If you’re not able to make payment during this initial period, your child can still join as long as there is still space in the team and payment is made before the first day of pre-season training. However, I can’t guarantee your child’s size, name and preferred number on the uniform if the order has already gone to production, as we’re working around lead times.
Here’s a breakdown again of the expected fees:
To be paid to RISE per Athlete:
RISE Training: $850 ($500 team fee per week for at least 8 athletes, 17 weeks of 1-hour training & game-coaching)
RISE Jersey Uniform (top and bottom): $80
NSBA Competition Fee (approx. based on 10 players): $209
Total per Athlete to RISE: $1,139 (approx.)
To be paid to NSBA/BNSW directly:
NSBA/BNSW Registration Fee: $148

If your family is interested in joining, please fill out the form by Monday, May 18 so we can see if we can form a team, figure out training schedules and submit our team nomination to NSBA. You will not yet be asked to pay the fees at this point.

Keep an eye out for my email around June 15 with payment details
